Norrish, Ronald (George Wreyford) (1897-1978)

Chemist, born in Cambridge. He studied at Cambridge, and was professor of physical chemistry there (1937-65). His research was in the field of photochemistry and chemical kinetics. He collaborated with George Porter to develop flash photolysis and kinetic spectroscopy for the investigation of very fast reactions, and they shared the 1967 Nobel Prize for Chemistry.
